


OJHL RELEASES 2026 GOVERNORS’ SHOWCASE SCHEDULE
Premier event to feature the league’s top talent in front of scouts from across North America
MISSISSAUGA, ON July 21, 2026 – The Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) is proud to officially unveil the schedule for the 2026 Governors’ Showcase, one of the league’s premier events highlighting the top junior hockey talent in Ontario.
The Governors’ Showcase will bring together all 24 OJHL member clubs for a series of showcase games designed to provide players with unparalleled exposure to scouts from the NHL, NCAA, U SPORTS, the Canadian Hockey League and professional leagues from around the world.
Held annually, the event has become one of the most anticipated dates on the OJHL calendar, serving as a key opportunity for players to showcase their abilities while competing against the league’s top competition.
“The Governors’ Showcase continues to be one of the marquee events on our calendar,” said Marty Savoy, Commissioner of the Ontario Junior Hockey League. “It provides our student-athletes with an outstanding platform to compete in front of hundreds of scouts while showcasing the high level of hockey the OJHL is known for.”
Fans can now view the complete event schedule, including game times and participating teams, through the OJHL’s digital platforms.
The Ontario Junior Hockey League looks forward to welcoming players, coaches, scouts and fans for another outstanding edition of the Governors’ Showcase as the league continues its commitment to player development and advancement.
About the OJHL – “League of Choice”
The Ontario Junior Hockey League is the largest Junior ‘A’ league operating under the auspices of the Canadian Junior Hockey League with 24 member clubs. A proud member of the CJHL and Ontario Hockey Association, the OJHL was originally named the Ontario Provincial Junior ‘A’ Hockey League and it was formed out of the Central Junior ‘B’ Hockey League in 1993-94. With a long and storied history of developing players for the next level, including U SPORTS, the NCAA, CHL, minor pro ranks and the NHL, the OJHL had more than 135 commitments in 2024-25, including 54 to NCAA Division I and 29 to the Ontario Hockey League. In addition, the OJHL had 39 OHL Affiliate Players who played 152 OHL games. Thirty OJHL alumni were on NHL rosters at the start of the 2025-26 season.
