The 6-foot-6 goaltender from St. Catharines went 8-21-0 with the Admirals in 2023-24.

“I’d like to thank my parents, teammates and coaches for their support throughout my time in the OJHL,” Von Kaufmann told the OJHL. “I am very excited to further my academic and hockey career at Marian University and am looking forward to earning my degree and trying to win a national championship.

“I’d like to thank Chris Taylor and the rest of the Admirals coaching and training staff for giving me the opportunity and making my last season of junior a memorable one.”

Von Kaufmann entered the OJHL with the Markham Royals in 2021. He was traded to Caledon midway through the 2022-23 season.

“VK was a leader in our room all season and an all around amazing person,” Coach Taylor said. “We’re very proud to see him making the commitment to Marian University for next season. Nick was a phenomenal teammate and role model to all of the guys in that room, especially during tough parts of the season.

“We’d like to congratulate Nick and wish him all the best in his future.”

Congratulations to Nicholas and best of luck in the NCAA!
