COLLINGWOOD MOVES TO 2-0 AT CENTENNIAL CUP

The Collingwood Blues remain unbeaten at the 2023 Centennial Cup in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.

The Ontario Junior Hockey League champions defeated the Battlefords Stars from Saskatchewan 3-1 Saturday to move to 2-0-0 in the 10-team tournament.

Cam Garvey, Ayden Dooley and Spencer Young scored for Collingwood who led 1-0 after the first and second periods.

Noah Pak earned the win for Collingwood who were outshot 37-34.

Collingwood’s next game comes Tuesday when they face the Kam River Fighting Walleye (0-2-0) from Thunder Bay.

The Blues visited Winnipeg tonight to take in the Western Hockey League Championship Series game between the hometown Ice and the Seattle Thunderbirds.
