Tyler Isherwood of the Ontario Junior Hockey League’s  Buffalo Jr. Sabres  has confirmed his commitment to join the NCAA Division III Curry College Colonels in Milton, Massachusetts beginning with the 2025-26 season.

The Port Colborne, ON joined the Jr. Sabres from Welland Jr. B Canadiens ahead of the 2023-24 OJHL season.

“I am proud and excited to announce my commitment to Curry College for next season,” Isherwood told the OJHL. “I spent the best two years of my life in the Jr. Sabres program. I am grateful for the coaches and teammates that have helped me grow as a person and player.”

Isherwood, 20, had seasons of 47 (19 goals/28 assists) and then 60 (26 goals/34 assists) with Buffalo.

“Tyler Isherwood was an essential piece to our team the past two seasons,” said Jr. Sabres General Manager and Head Coach Sean Wallace. “Coming back from COVID and trying to build a competitive team out of the gate, we took a chance on Tyler without knowing much about him and it paid off tremendously. Tyler will leave a lasting impact on our program and we wish him all the best at Curry College.”

Congratulations to Tyler and best of luck in the NCAA!
