March 9, 2026, Mississauga, Ontario – The Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) announced today that Tre Altiman of the Leamington Flyers has been named its Goaltender of the Month for February. Altiman was 9-1-0-0 during the month, posting a 1.28 goals-against average and a .959 save percentage – including two shutouts – across 561 minutes of work between the pipes.

The Chatham, Ont. native faced 291 shots in February, stopping 279 of them as he continued to be the backbone of the Flyers’ record-setting late-season push. Altiman’s play was instrumental in Leamington’s 10-game winning streak to close out the regular season, a run that saw the Flyers move into the third seed in the West Conference.

The February award is the second Goaltender-of-the-Month honour for Altiman this season, having previously claimed the award for December. His season-long numbers – a 1.28 goals-against average and .959 save percentage, which both rank among the best in the OJHL – speak to the consistency and quality he has brought to the Flyers’ crease all year.

The 20-year-old right-catching goaltender stands 5-foot-10 and was born November 11, 2005. In 2024-25, Altiman began the season with the Flyers before moving to the King Rebellion mid-season. He returned to Leamington this season and claimed the starting position, blossoming into one of the top goaltenders in the OJHL under goalie coach Matt Anthony and head coach Dale Mitchell.

Colten Drillen-Roach of the Trenton Golden Hawks was selected runner-up for the February Goaltender-of-the-Month award in the vote of general managers. The Trenton goaltender was 5-0-0-0 during the month with a 0.80 goals-against average and a .971 save percentage over five appearances for the East Conference regular season champions.

Altiman and fellow award winning teammate Matthew Thomas, begin their 2026 OJHL playoff run this week, with Leamington positioned as the third seed in the West Conference.
