Liam Conway of the Ontario Junior Hockey League’s Mississauga Chargers has confirmed his commitment to join the Ottawa 67’s in the Ontario Hockey League beginning with the 2025-26 season.
“Liam is extremely competitive and hard working, and we look forward to having him in a Charger uniform,” said Mississauga Head Coach and General Manager Joe Washkurak. “We look forward to watching his development over the season.”
The 17-year-old from Vaughan played for the Mississauga Reps U18 team last season.
“Liam is a competitive young goalie who impressed us with his strong performance in training camp,” said Ottawa 67’s General Manager James Boyd. “We are excited to welcome him to the 67’s and support him through the next phase of his development.”
Conway was selected 11th overall by Ottawa in the 2024 U18 OHL Priority Selection.
He made his OHL debut with the 67’s during their preseason game against the Kingston Frontenacs this past Sunday.
The Mississauga Chargers open their OJHL schedule on the road tonight against the defending OJHL and national champion Collingwood Blues.
Congratulations to Liam and best of luck in the OJHL and OHL!
The OJHL had more than 45 NCAA Division I scholarship commitments last season.
