OJHL POWER RANKINGS: NO CHANGES TO TOP FOUR THIS WEEK

Leamington, Flyers Toronto Jr. Canadiens on lengthy winning streaks

The top four spots in the Ontario Junior Hockey League’s (OJHL) Power Rankings remain unchanged this week.

The Leamington Flyers (32-5-2-1) are top ranked. The first-place team in the OJHL West, the Flyers are riding a seven-game winning streak.

The second-ranked Trenton Golden Hawks (33-5-2-0) have the best winning percentage in the OJHL – 0.850. The defending league finalists lead the OJHL East.

The 2024 OJHL and Centennial Cup champion Collingwood Blues (30-8-2-1) are ranked third. 

The fourth-ranked Toronto Jr. Canadiens (29-7-0-3) have won their last nine games.

The league is releasing the OJHL Power Rankings every Wednesday at 6 p.m. during its OJ All Access Podcast. 

Head coaches from across the 24-team OJHL take part in a weekly poll to determine the top 10 teams listed in the rankings.

Coaches are asked to vote for their top 10 each week, based on “teams’ overall strength, game outcomes (scores and performance) and other key indicators of success including recent play against top teams and the record of the week.” The results are tabulated by the OJHL’s Hockey Operations department.  

The OJ All Access Podcast is available every Wednesday at 6 p.m. on platforms, including the OJHL’s Facebook, X and Instagram accounts, plus Twitch and Spotify. Host Alex Bastyovanszky and guests from across the league “talk everything OJHL” during the podcast. Bastyovanszky is a veteran junior hockey TV host/producer/videographer.

The Ontario Junior Hockey League is the largest Junior ‘A’ league operating under the auspices of the Canadian Junior Hockey League with 24 member clubs. The OJHL is the home of the 2024 Centennial Cup champion Collingwood Blues.
