OJHL’S ALTIMAN AMONGST THE TOP CJHL GOALTENDER AWARD FINALISTS FOR 2025-26

MISSISSAUGA – The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) announced Thursday the finalists for its Top Goaltender Award for the 2025-26 campaign.

Leading the way from the OJHL is Tre Altiman of the Leamington Flyers, whose dominant season has positioned him among the elite netminders across the country.

Selected through a voting process conducted by the CJHL’s nine member leagues, the finalists reflect the top performers from coast to coast during the regular season.

Altiman delivered one of the most commanding goaltending performances in the OJHL this season, emerging as a backbone for a Flyers squad that consistently contended in the West Conference and earning him the OJHL’s Goaltender of the Year.

The 20-year-old from Chatham, Ont., posted a remarkable 1.78 goals-against average — second-best across the league — while his .942 save percentage tied for the OJHL lead. His ability to shut the door in key moments was unmatched, recording a league-best seven shutouts in 37 appearances.

A three-time OJHL Goaltender of the Month, Altiman’s consistency and poise earned national recognition as well, highlighted by being named CJHL 1st Star of the Month in February. His season résumé also includes appearances at multiple all-star events and the OJHL’s 20-year-old Showcase, further cementing his reputation as one of the league’s premier overage talents.

Altiman’s numbers don’t just stand out in the OJHL — they stack up with any goaltender in the CJHL this year, making him a legitimate contender for the national honour.

The other CJHL Goalie finalists are:

Mathis Lacroix-Goulet, Collège Français de Longueuil (QJHL)

Rylan Donovan, Kemptville 73s (CCHL)

Austin Dubinsky, Niverville Nighthawks (MJHL)

Charlie Tritt, Flin Flon Bombers (SJHL)

With Altiman carrying the OJHL banner, the league finds itself firmly in the national spotlight again, and with a goaltender whose numbers, accolades and impact give him a strong case to bring the CJHL’s top netminding honour back to Ontario.Top of Form
