November 7, 2025, Mississauga, Ontario – The Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) announced today that Taeo Artichuk of the Trenton Golden Hawks has been named the East Conference Player-of-the-Month for October after he tallied 22 points during nine games. His 13 goals included hat tricks against Milton (Oct. 10) and Pickering (Oct. 24).
Artichuk also won the monthly award for September.
In his third season with the defending OJHL champion Golden Hawks, the 20-year-old from Ajax is in second place in the OJHL scoring race with 42 points (20 goals/ 22 assists) from 19 regular season games. He has scored five shorthanded goals and four on the power play.
A second-round pick (21st overall) of the Erie Otters in the 2021 Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Priority Selection, Artichuk played two-plus seasons with the Otters before signing in Trenton.
Hudson Armstrong of the Stouffville Spirit was runner-up to Artichuk as the East Conference Player-of-the-Month. The 18-year-old rookie from Courtice tallied 18 points (10 goals/eight assists) in 12 games, including five-point games against Wellington and North York.
Undrafted in the OHL, Armstrong signed in Stouffville following a 46-point season with the North Shore Whitecaps U18 team. He’s on pace for an 87-point season this year, according to Elite Prospects.
