The Ypsilanti, Michigan product played in 52 regular season games as well as six playoff games and had nine goals and 16 assists for the season.

“As we were putting together our team in the off-season, we knew we needed to bring in players with junior experience for our first year back. Gavin was the perfect addition,” said Jr. Sabres General Manager and Head Coach Sean Wallace,

As an alternate captain, he had a key part of leading the team this season as they returned to the OJHL.  Klaassen played over 100 games of junior between the North American Hockey League, the Manitoba Junior Hockey League and the OJHL.

“Gavin came from a high-end youth organization in Victory Honda and in junior had Centennial Cup experience,” Wallace said. “Gavin has a tremendous work ethic, set an example all season and helped lead our group.”

Congratulations to Gavin and best of luck in the NCAA!

The OJHL has had more than 45 NCAA Division I scholarship commitments already this season.
