Former Ontario Junior Hockey League star forward Zach Hyman netted a hat trick in an Edmonton Oilers’ playoff victory Monday night.
The former Hamilton Red Wing (now Markham Royals) is one of 21 former OJHLers playing in the 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs.
The 24-team OJHL is the largest Junior ‘A’ league operating under the auspices of the Canadian Junior Hockey League. With a long and storied history of developing players for the next level, including U SPORTS, the NCAA, CHL, minor pro ranks and the NHL, the OJHL has had more than 45 NCAA Division I scholarship commitments already this season.
The OJHL has the highest number of players in the CJHL ranked for this year’s NHL Draft, led by the top-ranked player in the CJHL, Jonathan Morello of the St. Michael’s Buzzers.The following are the OJHL alumni on NHL playoff rosters, along with the clubs they were part of:
