Fourteen Ontario Junior Hockey League alumni are playing in the 2024 Stanley Cup semifinals.
Some were full-time OJHLers back in the day, others affiliate players from their minor hockey teams.
The Edmonton Oilers lead the way with seven ex-OJHLers on their playoff roster:
- Zach Hyman (Hamilton Red Wings)
- Connor Brown and Darnell Nurse (St. Michael’s Buzzers)
- Evan Bouchard (Oakville Blades)
- Cody Ceci (Peterborough Stars)
- Sam Gagner (Milton IceHawks)
- Corey Perry (Peterborough Bees)
Dallas Stars:
- Chris Tanev (Markham Waxers, Stouffville Spirit, Durham Fury)
- Mason Marchment (Cobourg Cougars)
- Ty Dellandrea (Whitby Fury)
New York Rangers
- Barclay Goodrow (Villanova Knights)
Florida Panthers:
- Evan Rodrigues (Georgetown Raiders)
- Nick Cousins (Trenton Hercs)
- Ryan Lomberg (North York Rangers, Upper Canada Patriots)
Goodrow scored in overtime to even the Rangers and Panthers conference final at 1-1.
The Oilers lead the Stars 1-0 in their best-of-seven. The series resumes in Dallas Saturday beginning at 8 p.m. ET

About the OJHL – “ League of Choice”
The Ontario Junior Hockey League is the largest Junior ‘A’ league operating under the auspices of the Canadian Junior Hockey League with 24 member clubs. The OJHL is the home of the 2024 Centennial Cup national champion Collingwood Blues. A proud member of the CJHL and Ontario Hockey Association, the OJHL was originally named the Ontario Provincial Junior ‘A’ Hockey League and it was formed out of the Central Junior ‘B’ Hockey League in 1993-94. With a long and storied history of developing players for the next level, including U SPORTS, the NCAA, CHL, minor pro ranks and the NHL, the OJHL has had more than 45 NCAA Division I scholarship commitments already this season.
