The OJHL 20-Year-Old Showcase is built for one purpose: give our graduating players a final, meaningful stage in front of U SPORTS programs, including OUA coaches, who are actively recruiting the next wave of student-athletes.
Set for December 7, 2026 this event is set to provide an environment that reflects exactly what our players are moving toward: high-performance hockey matched with high-performance academics.
This isn’t just a game day. It’s a full immersion into the next level.
Players will go through a structured experience that mirrors the demands of U SPORTS hockey—on-ice, off-ice, and in the classroom setting. From morning skate to seminar sessions, team meals, preparation, and post-game networking, every detail is designed to prepare players for what comes next, and to put them in front of decision-makers who matter.
Game Day Experience Includes: (Example based on 2025)
- Morning skate (both rinks)
- U SPORTS seminar with University staff
- Team lunch and pre-game meal
- Pre-game preparation and activation support
- OUA / OJHL networking social
- OJHL presentation and Q&A on the future of the game
- Official game
- Post-game dinner and meet & greet with university programs

This event has proven that many of the players participating in it have earned commitments to U SPORTS programs. That matters—but more important is what it represents: players leaving our league with a clear next step and a place to continue their career.
For us, this is the finish line of junior hockey—but it’s also the doorway to everything that comes after.
