The series resumes Dec. 15 in Milton, championship game on Jan. 6 in Brantford
COBOURG, ON – Some of the top young stars in the Ontario Junior Hockey League put on an offensive clinic during Game 4 of the Zach Hyman OJHL Prospect Series in Cobourg Tuesday night.
Andrew Pacheco (Markham Royals), Jamie Buscarini (Aurora Tigers) and Caiden Clair (St. Michael’s Buzzers) scored two goals apiece to lead Team Grey to a 12-4 win over Team Yellow at the Cobourg Community Centre in the final East Conference game in the series.
Pacheco, a draft pick of the Ontario Hockey League’s Brantford Bulldogs, added three assists and was named Player of the Game for his team.
The new series features the top 2008- and 2009-born players from across the 24-team league.
Scouts from across the hockey world, including the NHL, OHL and NCAA, have been in attendance.
Stouffville Spirit rookies Henry Austin, Lucas Demiglio and Hamza Havusic, Pickering Panthers Ty Robar and Tyler Bruce and St. Michael’s Tyler Clark had the other Grey goals.
Christian Lee (St. Michael’s) and Joseph D’Angelo (North York Rangers) shared the win in goal.

Yellow goals were scored by Newmarket Hurricanes Alex Semenstov and Ben Bowen and Haliburton County Huskies Josh Denes and Lewis Hergaarden
Hergaarden, an Oshawa Generals draft pick, was his team’s Player of the Game.
Team Red defeated Yellow and Grey in earlier East Conference games and will advance to series final at the home of the OHL’s Brantford Bulldogs on Jan. 6
Two West Conference games remain to be played to determine the other finalist. Next up is Orange vs Black in Milton on Dec. 15.

The Format
The Prospects Series features six teams competing in a round-robin format followed by a championship game. Selected players are playing on three teams representing OJHL East and three teams representing OJHL West. Following the round robin, the top two teams will advance to the championship game at the TD Civic Centre, hosted by the OHL’s Brantford Bulldogs.
About the OJHL – “League of Choice”
The Ontario Junior Hockey League is the largest Junior ‘A’ league operating under the auspices of the Canadian Junior Hockey League with 24 member clubs. A proud member of the CJHL and Ontario Hockey Association, the OJHL was originally named the Ontario Provincial Junior ‘A’ Hockey League and it was formed out of the Central Junior ‘B’ Hockey League in 1993-94. With a long and storied history of developing players for the next level, including U SPORTS, the NCAA, CHL, minor pro ranks and the NHL, the OJHL had more than 135 commitments in 2024-25, including 54 to NCAA Division 1 and 29 to the Ontario Hockey League. In addition, the OJHL had 39 OHL Affiliate Players who played 152 OHL games. Thirty OJHL alumni are on NHL rosters this fall.
