OJHL ANNOUNCES OCTOBER PLAYERS OF THE MONTH

Tyler Bruce and Ty Daniels earn conference honours, while Colten Drillen-Roach is named Goaltender of the Month for the second straight month.

MISSISSAUGA, ON – November 5, 2026 – The Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) has announced its October Players of the Month, recognizing Tyler Bruce of the Pickering Panthers, Ty Daniels of the Burlington Cougars and Colten Drillen-Roach of the Leamington Flyers.

Bruce earns East Conference Player of the Month honours, Daniels takes the West Conference award and Drillen-Roach repeats as the league’s Goaltender of the Month.

East Conference Player of the Month | Tyler Bruce, Pickering Panthers

Bruce recorded an assist in each of Pickering’s wins over St. Michael’s, North York and Stouffville from October 18 to 25. He followed that stretch with his team-leading 10th goal of the season, a third-period power-play marker that put the Panthers ahead against Burlington on October 27.

The Whitby, Ontario, forward was selected by the Soo Greyhounds in the seventh round, 130th overall, of the 2025 OHL Priority Selection out of the Toronto Jr. Canadiens U16 AAA program.

West Conference Player of the Month | Ty Daniels, Burlington Cougars

Daniels scored eight goals and added six assists for 14 points over five games from October 11 to 24. Earlier in the month, he recorded a goal and an assist in Burlington’s 5–2 win over the Wellington Dukes at the OJHL Governors’ Showcase in Niagara Falls.

The Steelheads selected Daniels in the seventh round, 135th overall, of the 2024 OHL Priority Selection when the club was based in Mississauga. The Grimsby, Ontario, winger signed an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with Brampton in 2025 and played 48 regular-season games for the Steelheads in 2025–26, recording two goals and one assist.

Goaltender of the Month | Colten Drillen-Roach, Leamington Flyers

After earning the league’s September award, Drillen-Roach made 32 saves in Leamington’s 4–1 win over the Markham Royals at the Governors’ Showcase. On October 20, he stopped all 32 shots he faced in a 4–0 road win over the Trenton Golden Hawks, the club he played for last season before joining Leamington.

The OJHL congratulates Bruce, Daniels and Drillen-Roach on their October honours.
