The Trenton Golden Hawks are going to the Centennial Cup.
Trenton won the 2025 Ontario Junior Hockey League championship in six games, defeating the Milton Menace 3-2 in overtime at Milton Memorial Arena Wednesday night.
Taeo Artichuk is the toast of Quinte West tonight. His power-play goal at 11:59 overtime sent Trenton to that Centennial Cup national championship tournament in Calgary next week.
Captain Corbin Roach accepted the Buckland Cup championship trophy from OJHL Commissioner Mary Savoy.

Trenton goaltender Ryan Sanborn was named OJHL playoff MVP.
It looked there would be a Game 7 in the series Saturday at Duncan Memorial Gardens in Trenton late Wednesday.
Milton scored a goal in each of the first two periods and held onto that 2-0 lead late into the third period.
But, the Golden Hawks had other plans. Kyloe Ellis scored with 2:10 remaining in regulation and Cooper Matthews sent it to OT with a goal with 1:03 left.
Graeme MacAuley and Madden MacDougall scored for Milton, who were outshot 46-30.
Third time was a charm for the Golden Hawks who lost the last two OJHL Championship Series finals to the Collingwood Blues.
Trenton will play the still-to-be determined Manitoba champs to open the Centennial Cup May 8. The Dauphin Kings and Northern Manitoba Blizzard will play Game 7 of the Manitoba loop’s final Thursday night in Dauphin.
The 2025 Centennial Cup, presented by Tim Hortons, will be played from May 8-18 at the Max Bell Centre. The host Calgary Canucks will welcome the nine league champions from the Canadian Junior Hockey League.
