January 8, 2026, Mississauga, Ontario – The Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) announced today that Tre Altiman of the Leamington Flyers has been named its Goaltender of the Month for December.
Altiman was 4-0-0-0 during the month, posting a 0.75 goals-against average with a 0.976 save percentage.
Two of Altiman’s wins were shutouts, 6-0 over Niagara Falls on Dec. 5 and 4-0 over St. Michael’s on Dec. 19.
Altiman leads the 24-team OJHL with a 1.89 save percentage and a league-best five shutouts.
The 20-year-old from Walpole, ON won the OJHL Goaltender-of-the-Month honour in September, as well. He was a member of Team Red, which won the inaugural OJHL 20 Year Old Showcase at Ontario Tech Dec. 8.
Owen Edwards of the Haliburton County Huskies was runner-up to Altiman as the Goaltender-of-the-Month. The Oshawa native went 7-0-0-1 during December, posting a 1.69 GAA and a 0.936 save percentage. Edwards, 18, won the OJHL Goaltender-of-the-Month award for October. He is a Kitchener Rangers’ Ontario Hockey League draft pick.

The Ontario Junior Hockey League is the largest Junior ‘A’ league operating under the auspices of the Canadian Junior Hockey League with 24 member clubs.
