Ferreira, Gale also chosen by Hockey Canada to officiate Centennial Cup in Calgary next month.
April 19, 2025, Mississauga, ON – The Ontario Junior Hockey League, in conjunction with the Ontario Hockey Association, congratulates the officials who have been chosen for the 2025 OJHL Championship Series.
The best-of-seven series between the Trenton Golden Hawks and Milton Menace begins in Trenton tonight.
“These officials have worked hard all season and have earned a spot in our Championship Series,” said OJHL Director of Officiating Rob MacGregor. “In addition, the OJHL would like to thank all the officials who have officiated our games throughout the 2024-25 season.”

Referees:
Chris Ferreira, Scott Gray, Connor Mallon, Steven Picco, Dan Ransom, Josh Schein, Andrew Thompson and Darryl Wolfe.
Linespeople:
Devon Gale, Joe Kielbowich, Pierre Luc Lurette, Josh Miller, Tristan Peacock, Matthew Sgromo, Eric Taylor and Meckenzie Wright.
Alternates:
Korey Bannerman, Dan Emerson, Sheldon Calbury and Luke Pye.
Ferreira and Gale have also been chosen by Hockey Canada to officiate the Centennial Cup national junior A championship tournament in Calgary next month.
“They drive across Southern Ontario all winter with the hope that they have a chance for a playoff game, let alone the league championship.”
“All the officials in this league are amazing,” said MacGregor. “They all work so hard during the season and it is unfortunate we can only select a certain few for our finals. There are some excellent officials who did not get chosen for our finals. Their dedication and commitment to the officiating program is outstanding. They drive across Southern Ontario all winter with the hope that they have a chance for a playoff game, let alone the league championship.”
“We have a very experienced team this year with most of the referees having 15 years of experience in the OHA,” said Kevin Pollock, the OHA’s Director of Officiating. “The linesmen are young but they are our officials of the future. The talent that they have shown throughout the playoffs has been incredible.
“The officials are like players, they are very excited about being chosen to officiate in the OJHL Championship Series and they take great pride in being part of the finals.”
