Eight games, standout performances and late-game drama close the 2026 Governors’ Showcase at the Gale Centre.
NIAGARA FALLS, ON – October 8, 2026 – The Ontario Junior Hockey League concluded its 2026 Governors’ Showcase with eight games at the Gale Centre on Wednesday, the third and final day of the event. King, the Toronto Patriots, Niagara Falls, Leamington, Burlington, Collingwood, Buffalo and North York earned victories.
King Rebellion 6, Aurora Tigers 3
Jared McNeil and Marshall McCharles each recorded one goal and three assists as King went 4-for-6 on the power play. Aurora scored twice early in the third period to cut the lead to 4-3, but King answered with two late power-play goals. Logan Kennedy stopped 26 of 29 shots.
Toronto Patriots 8, Cobourg Cougars 1
Owen McGuckin scored a hat trick and added an assist, while Luke Howard recorded one goal and two assists. Bodhi Ryan collected three assists, and the Patriots converted five of 10 power-play opportunities. Trey Caracciolo stopped 31 of 32 shots.
Niagara Falls Canucks 6, Lindsay Muskies 4
Timofey Williams stopped 57 of 61 shots as Niagara Falls overcame an early 2-0 deficit. Jacob Greene scored twice, and Jimmy Meekma had one goal and one assist. Igor Kozlov scored twice for Lindsay, while Declan Ready recorded one goal and two assists.
Leamington Flyers 4, Markham Royals 1
Brody Brown collected three assists and Josh Cleary had one goal and one assist as Leamington scored twice in 21 seconds during the second period. Colten Drillen-Roach stopped 32 of 33 shots.
Burlington Cougars 5, Wellington Dukes 2
Sean Short recorded one goal and two assists, and Burlington scored three power-play goals. Ty Daniels, Mickael Tissier and Zaiden Hraiche each had one goal and one assist, while Carter Vicente stopped 29 of 31 shots.
Collingwood Blues 5, Stouffville Spirit 4
Atom Thususka scored the winning goal with 1:27 remaining after Stouffville erased a 3-0 deficit and tied the game in the third period. Ethan Neller had one goal and one assist for Collingwood. Griffen Boyle scored twice for Stouffville.
Buffalo Jr. Sabres 6, St. Michael’s Buzzers 4
Buffalo scored three times in the third period to break a 3-3 tie. Watson Prier scored twice, Carson Joy recorded one goal and two assists, and Jake Brown collected three assists. Logan Vitez stopped 24 of 28 shots.
North York Rangers 4, Georgetown Raiders 2
Snyder Evan recorded two goals and one assist as North York scored three times in the third period. Paterson Kyson had one goal and one assist, and Joseph D’Angelo stopped 36 of 38 shots. Owen Meli scored both Georgetown goals.

Owen McGuckin of Toronto recorded 3 goals, 1 assist and 4 points. Jared McNeil and Marshall McCharles of King each finished with 1 goal, 3 assists and 4 points.
Snyder Evan of North York recorded 2 goals, 1 assist and 3 points. Declan Ready of Lindsay, Sean Short of Burlington and Carson Joy of Buffalo each had 1 goal, 2 assists and 3 points. Brody Brown of Leamington, Jack Foley of Lindsay and Jake Brown of Buffalo each recorded 0 goals, 3 assists and 3 points. Ethan Neller of Collingwood finished with 1 goal, 1 assist and 2 points.
Timofey Williams of Niagara Falls stopped 57 of 61 shots. Joseph D’Angelo of North York stopped 36 of 38, Colten Drillen-Roach of Leamington stopped 32 of 33, Trey Caracciolo of Toronto stopped 31 of 32, and Carter Vicente of Burlington stopped 29 of 31. None of the Day Three goaltenders recorded a shutout.
