February 6, 2026, Mississauga, Ontario – The Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) announced today that Jake Mallory of the Pickering Panthers has been voted the East Conference Player-of-the-Month for January after he scored 11 goals and assisted on six more during 11 games.
Highlights of Mallory’s month included hat tricks against his hometown Milton Menace and the North York Rangers.
In his fourth season in the OJHL, the 20-year-old was obtained by Pickering from the King Rebellion in a mid-season deal. He has 28 points in 21 games since the trade.
Mallory and the Panthers are home to the Cobourg Cougars tonight.
Joey Brehmer of the Trenton Golden Hawks was runner-up to Mallory as the East Conference Player-of-the-Month. The Waterloo native had seven goals and 11 assists in 11 games with the defending OJHL champs in Trenton.
The Golden Hawks play in Wellington tonight.
