February 6, 2026, Mississauga, Ontario – The Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) announced today that Mason Kim of the Mississauga Chargers has been named the West Conference Player-of-the-Month for January after he tallied a league-leading 21 points, including 10 goals, during 11 games.
During the month, Kim had five-point games against Cobourg and Niagara Falls and a four-pointer vs Buffalo. He has five game-winning goals this season for the Chargers this season, who are in a playoff spot with just over three weeks remaining on the OJHL regular-season schedule.
In his second season with the Chargers, the OJHL’s Rookie of the Year in 2024-25 amassed 65 points (29 goals/36 assists) during 55 games last season.
Kim’s Mississauga linemate, Spencer Hughes, was selected runner-up as the West Conference Player-of-the-Month in the vote of general managers from across the conference.
The Mississauga native had 20 points (six goals/14 assists) in 11 games for the 24-21-0-4 Chargers during January.
Kim, Hughes and the rest of the Chargers are home to Niagara Falls on Saturday.
