December 5, 2025, Mississauga, Ontario – The Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) announced today that Tate Collins of the Toronto Patriots (Photo by Paul Mauceri / OJHL Images) has been named the West Conference Player of the Month for November after he tallied 17 points during 11 games. His seven goals included a game-winner, part of a hat trick and a four-point performance during a 5-1 win at King on Nov. 23.
Collins, who is committed to NCAA Division I Union College, signed an Ontario Hockey League scholarship agreement with the Barrie Colts Nov. 14.
In his second season with the league-leading Patriots, the 18-year-old from Newmarket has 15 goals and 30 assists from 32 regular season games. Collins is currently playing for Canada East at the 2025 Junior A World Challenge in Quebec. He scored the game-winner during a pre-tournament win over Canada West Wednesday.
Patriots teammate Luciano Bruno was runner-up to Collins as the West Conference Player of the Month – the award he won for September and October. The Woodbridge native scored six goals and added 12 assists in 11 games. Committed to NCAA Division I Clarkson, Bruno is a Kingston Frontenacs draft pick. Bruno and Collins were recently put together on a line by Patriots’ Head Coach Vince Bellissimo.
